''Reading is Fun'' campaign
Literamed Publications Limited, publishers of Lantern Books, Cowrie Comics and Living Scrolls is hitting the road with a campaign to sensitize Nigerians on the need to create an effective reading culture in our society by launching a road show, mobile libraries and tricycle sales of books.
Over 500 titles of culturally relevant and character building books would be displayed at selected schools, supermarkets, offices, and high traffic public places where children and their parents would have direct access to them. Aside from a four-day road show in the month of November, there would be a mobile sales of storybooks and comics on tricycles across Lagos. Also, the reading is fun campaign is aimed at promoting the habit of giving books as gifts to children, friends and colleagues for all occasions. Another highpoint of the event is 'Read a Comic book for Free' promo. Children have the opportunity of reading any of the several comic titles for free in our mobile library. The campaign, which is to last a month, will be targeted at children, youths, parents and schools across the country with Lagos as a pilot.
